Considering a Roommate? Tips to Help
Moving in with your best friend may seem like the roommate from heaven, but there are a lot of factors to consider and questions to ask before you even consider a roommate. They may be your best friend and you think you know everything about them, but do you know everything about living with them?
Communities at Bent Tree Brooks is a great place for you to consider a roommate. Their two and three-bedroom layout leaves a generous amount of space for you and your choice of roommates. And you can even let your favorite puppy or kitten tag along as well because they are pet friendly. So even if you decide to room with your best friend, it will definitely be an enjoyable stay. But there are still some things to consider after you have set your eyes on Communities at Bent Tree Brooks.
There needs to be something written and signed by both parties to leave no room for error. Sometimes even your best friends will take advantage of you. And questions like who will have their name on the utility bill may seem minuscule to ask, but if they don’t get answered you may not get the questions you need answered.
Other questions to ask are:
- How long will your roommate be staying in the apartment?
- What are the basic house rules for cleaning, drinking, inviting company, etc.?
- What happens if your roommate wants to leave early? Who pays the rent?
- Who gets the bigger room? And does that mean a bigger portion of the rent?
Asking simple questions like these will help the transition of moving into a new apartment and/or rooming with someone to help out on the rent.
Communities at Bent Tree Brooks always have room for eager renters. Make sure to contact them with any questions you may have concerning their apartments.
